One of the most underrated metal bands in history, Lizzy Borden went all out for their fans and that determination and devotion is evident on the disc. Like the previous reviewer stated, they DO sound a bit like early Iron Maiden, but along with the brilliant technical guitar work and melodies, they manage to instill a darkly fun sense of gory glee with their horror film and pulp novel-like lyrics. I originally bought this on vinyl around 1988 and it sounded great then. On CD, it's an unbelievable live experience. It is a MUST for any member of the Lizzy Borden Axe Club and is a great primer for prospective ones.
